Ukrzaliznytsia increased free Internet traffic at a speed of 10 Mb/s on Intercity and Intercity+ trains to two gigabytes. This was reported by the company’s press service.
Internet is available on 16 Intercity trains: 10 Hyundai, two Skoda, two Tarpan and two Ukrainian branded high-speed interregional trains.
Since the launch of Wi-Fi on Intercity trains, 750 thousand passengers have used it – in fact, every second passenger on high-speed trains. The total volume of traffic exceeded 2.3 petabytes.
The most active Wi-Fi users travel on routes No. 741/742 and No. 777/778 Kyiv – Lviv, where on average 66% of passengers on each flight connect to the Internet.
We remind you that in September Ukrzaliznytsia launched Wi-Fi on Intercity and Intercity+ trains. The company stressed that while the research operation is underway, Wi-Fi access will remain free for passengers.
