The owner of the Works of Art says they are real, experts – doubt, and museum – holding.
Three unknown paintings found under the mattress of Israel’s pensioner was written by Kazimir Malevich, their owner. Although the paintings were placed at the State Museum in Bucharest, the museum itself was not responsible for their authenticity. The leading expert is skeptical of their origin, the Air Force reports.
“In 2023, we took Grandma Eve from one apartment to another. When we packed everything and left, she suddenly said:” Wait, please lift the mattress, “said Israeli businessman Janive Cohen.
Cohen said he convinced his wife’s grandmother to leave the old mattress, but he insisted, and under the mattress they found five paintings.
“It became three of them among the brushes of Casimir Malevich,” Cohen assured.
Acts are called Cuboturistic composition (1912-13), Suprematic composition with a red square and a green triangle (1915-1916), Suprematic composition with green and black rectangle (1918).
Three paintings were presented as works by Casimir Malevich at an exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art of Romania. The exhibition sponsor is a local dentistry belonging to Cohen.
However, to prove Malevich’s work in these paintings, there is not enough proven – the previous story of art works – from the moment of Malevich’s “creation” to the exhibition at Bucharest. This is stated by the Ukrainian-American Arts and Curators of Research leadership of the American Association of Museums Konstantin Akinsha.
Eva Lewando, Cohen’s wife’s grandmother, was born in Odessa in 1930 in the family of an accountant and saleswoman.
Shortly before her birth, her father, 22-year-old Bentile, bought the first of Malevich’s three paintings; The other two moved him a year for paying for his accounting services.
In 1990, Eve moved to Israel and took some paintings with her.
Lack of documents confirming this story, Cohen explained to Stalinist suppression – as if in those people, “everyone hid a Russian avant -garde (now the museums in the world have not signed Malevich as the” Russian avant -garde “because of the Ukrainian origin of Malevich. – Ed.), Everyone is in shock.”
Akinha noted that this was not like this – Malevich’s personal exhibitions were held in 1929 at the Tretyakov Gallery and in 1930 at the Kyiv Art Gallery. The same year, the actress was arrested, but was released a few months later, but she continued to participate in group exhibitions until her death.
“There is no evidence that Malevich’s work spread to the Russian or Ukrainian Art Market in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Malevich said nothing about selling work to private individuals after 1917,” the art critic records.
Cohen’s main argument in defense of the authenticity of the paintings is the opinion of Dmitry Gorbachev, the famous Kyiv art critic, the book Malevich and Ukraine. By following Cohen, he studied three canvases and, according to their style and method, ended all three were “first examples” of Casimir Malevich’s work.
However, earlier Gorbachev recognized the disputed work as real. First of all, he called Malevich’s work that was previously unknown Suprematic composition From the private collection of Russia, but the market and the specialized community did not accept this attribute.
Eventually a canvas call Blue, black, redGorbachev called Alexandra Exter’s work, was removed from exposing the Vienna Museum of Albertin for serious doubt about her authenticity.
In support of its version, Cohen also provides the results of the technical review prepared by the Paris Institut D’Art Conservation et Couleur and German laboratory Elizabeth Hoasters and Erhard Jegers. Although they were dating the pigments and other elements of Malevich’s life, it was not argued that the work was written by the actor himself.

Cohen insisted that he would not sell his paintings,
Cohen insisted that he would not sell his paintings, despite Dmitry Gorbachev’s estimation of $ 160-190 million. Cohen also denied the connection to this proposal and said he would not base the paintings, because “earned a lot of money with bitcoins” and didn’t need money.
When a scandal explodes around the paintings, the National Museum of Modern Art of Romania (MNAC) distance from them. Exhibition Curator Marian Draga said she did not specialize in Malevich’s work and thus could not confirm the author of these paintings. The director of MNAC refused to talk to the Air Force. The exhibition itself is called the “curatorial experiment.”
Remember that in the Netherlands they saw a picture of Peter Buegel the younger stolen 50 years ago Coallost from the GDansk museum back in 1974.
In Vienna, nearly 100 years later found a picture of Gustav Klimt
