The fate of the director in the event of Russia was a shame and insulting the memory of victims of artists who died from the invasion of the Russian Federation, the department said.
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine criticized and condemned the participation of American Director Woody Allen at Moscow International Cinema Week. This is stated in the department’s statement on Monday, August 25th.
“It was a shame and insulting the victims of Ukrainian actors and filmmakers who were killed or injured by Russian criminal war during the Russian Federation invasion against Ukraine,” the department emphasized.
The Foreign Ministry explained that, participating in the festival, that united with Vladimir Putin’s supporters and rupors, Allen had his eyes on the rods that Russia had made in Ukraine every day for 11 years.
“Culture should not be used in launch crimes or serve as a propaganda instrument,” the statement recorded.
It should be noted that in the framework of Moscow International Cinema Week, 89-year-old Woody Allen is a member of the online Besard, activated by the Russian director, Propagandist and Supervisor of Putin, a member of the Supreme Council of the United Russia Party-Fedor Bondarchuk.
During the event, Allen said he was always “loved by the Russian cinema and never thought in Russia again.” And despite the fact that he did not plan to shoot movies there, he would not exclude such an opportunity in the future.
Earlier it was reported that American director Woody Allen at the age of 86 announced that he had left the film.
