Instead of the closed Mogilev-Podolsky-Otach border crossing, a temporary border crossing was created, but only for milk.
Moldova has stopped allowing trucks with agricultural products to enter the Mogilev-Podolsky-Otac checkpoint. The State Border Service of Ukraine reported this on Thursday, November 16.
The ban applies to goods of groups 1-24 and 44 according to the UKT FEA. These are all kinds of agricultural products (live animals and products of animal origin, products of plant origin (in particular, grains, tea, vegetables, etc.), vegetable fats and oils, prepared foods, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and vinegar, tobacco and its substitutes), as well as wood, wood products and charcoal.
The reason for the decision was the absence of employees of the National Food Safety Agency of Moldova at the specified checkpoint.
At the same time, the State Border Service indicates that Moldova has announced the creation of a temporary border inspection point Otaci – Mogilev-Podolsky with powers similar to permanent border inspection posts, but exclusively for the passage of goods “fresh pasteurized milk”, with operating hours from 8:00 to 17:00 from Monday to Friday.
We remind you that today Slovak carriers blocked the Ukrainian border crossing Vysne Nemecke for an hour, expressing solidarity with the Polish protesters.
They demand that Brussels introduce transport permits for Ukrainian vehicles, because European companies cannot compete with them – this is the same thing demanded by the protesters on the Polish border with Ukraine.
