The commander of the Azov brigade, Colonel Denis Prokopenko, called for fundamental changes in military command and organization of forces to wage a full-scale war.
Having a front 1 thousand km wide, it is ineffective to engage in micromanagement, descending into manual control of companies and battalions, says Prokopenko (Redis).
The colonel, in his message on social networks, noted that the enemy has been qualitatively using its advantages from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion to this day.
One of these advantages, according to Redis, lies in the concept of forming, supporting, training and managing units at the operational-tactical and operational-strategic levels, which allows the command of enemy divisions and armies to train and subsequently manage their regular units in battle more effectively and confidently .
Radish adds that, unlike us, the enemy, on the contrary, organizes control at the level of divisions, corps and armies, which facilitates the process of planning and using troops, knowing their potential and real abilities.
Basic needs, in his opinion:
- Refuse micromanagement at the level of companies and battalions, replacing it with systemic management at the level of divisions and corps.
- Introduce unity of command to improve training, efficiency, collaboration, and the matching of combat missions to the real capabilities of units.
- Reduce losses due to errors in the interaction of assigned units.
- Focus on strategic planning, involving the accumulation of resources, preparation for a long war, and strategic defense.
- Create a more effective management structure that will avoid the dissipation of resources and inefficient use of personnel.
These few points will ensure better coordination and increase the combat effectiveness of the forces in the long term.
