More and more people’s representatives do not want to fulfill their duties. The Servant of the People faction has already registered 17 applications for a mandate. This was stated by the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, on January 26, LB reports.
In general, a big crisis is approaching with the parliament, because only faction 17 has applications for drawing up a mandate. That is, we already have 401 people in parliament, we will definitely release another one for medical reasons – there will be 400 people,” he noted.
Arakhamia added that in order to make a decision in the Verkhovna Rada, it is necessary to collect at least 226 votes. And with 400 parliamentarians it is already difficult to collect the required number of votes.
The representative of the servants added that the parliament decided not to vote on drawing up mandates in order to ensure the legitimacy of the Verkhovna Rada.
As you know, the Verkhovna Rada currently consists of 401 people’s deputies. This is an anti-record for the Ukrainian parliament.
Let us recall that in December last year, the head of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia, said that many deputies want to resign their mandates, so the parliament decided to optimize the work of parliament and reduce the minimum number of people’s deputies in groups, “in order to preserve these groups, so that parliament , relatively speaking, until the new convocation, he worked in approximately the same structural regime in which he began to work.”
