They oppose the European Commission’s proposal to ban importers from reselling semiconductors for the military-industrial complex to Russia, Bloomberg writes.

To do this, the agreement proposes to deposit certain amounts into a special deposit account and in case of violation of the requirement, half of this amount will be written off to a trust fund for Ukraine.

But representatives of a group of major EU member states this week raised concerns about the issue and said the demands were illegal.

They believe they could put European companies at a competitive disadvantage. Countries against the innovation are not indicated.

On November 25, it also became known that US Deputy Treasury Secretary Nelson was going to Turkey to talk about anti-Russian sanctions.

Bloomberg, citing sources, writes that the visit of Nelson, who is involved in counter-terrorism and financial intelligence issues, is expected next week.

According to the publication, the United States is concerned about Turkey’s non-joining of sanctions against the aggressor.

Turkey continues to receive and provide services to Russian ships and aircraft, and Turkish banks service Russian Mir cards.

Therefore, Nelson will persuade Turkish officials to join sanctions against Russia.

The meeting will also discuss US sanctions against the Turkish campaign, imposed due to links with Hamas.

Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Novak said that the Turkish delegation will soon gather in St. Petersburg to discuss the details of the construction of a gas hub in Turkey.

According to Reuters, the project was previously suspended.

There is close interaction between Gazprom and the Botas company. I am confident that agreements will be reached on the practical implementation of the project in the near future,” Novak said.
