Ukraine prepares the launch of the new financial assistance program of the IMF.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday, August 7, held a telephone conversation with the director-manager of the International Monetary Fund VF Kristalina Georgivea. The head of state told the interlocutor about the work of the fastest end of the war, yesterday’s conversation with US President Donald Trump and European leaders, as well as about further steps. Zelensky reported this in Telegram.

According to the head of state, Georgiev also discussed a new financial assistance program, “which will now strengthen Ukrainians and in the period after that.” The president assured that Kyiv is ready to quickly take all the necessary steps. He emphasized that the closet is already working on this.
Negotiations raised the issue of additional financing of military personnel of the Ukrainian defense forces. Zelensky said that various options are currently being considered.
We recall that Verkhovna Rada said that in the updated memorandum of cooperation the International Monetary Fund does not require Ukraine to increase taxes. Currently, from four lighthouses in order to view the memorandum, Ukraine has managed to fulfill only one – to register the tax reporting account for digital platforms.
