Aliyev and Pashinan’s meeting with the White House was Trump’s attempt to make efforts aimed at stopping international conflicts to receive recognition for it.
US president Donald Trump is trying to resolve not only Russian-Ukrainian and Arab-Israel conflicts. Trump also took the war of Armenia against Azerbaijan. The countries were actually in war after the Proclamation of Independence more than 30 years ago, and in 2020 and 2023, Azerbaijan, as a result of hostility, restored the control of Nagorno -Karabakh. Trump will accept Friday at the White House of Armenia Prime Minister Nicolas Mashian and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who is trying to contribute to the conclusion of a peace agreement between the countries.
It will benefit for Trump
The Pashine and Aliyev are expected to sign a United States plot agreement aimed at achieving a “specific path to the world,” Reuters’ letter.
One of the sections of the agreements, according to the Reuters, was to hold the transport corridor by Armenia, which must connect the Azerbaijani Enclave Nakhichevan with the rest of Azerbaijan.
It is assumed that Armenia will agree to provide the United States exclusively special rights to generate a transit corridor, which will be called the Trump route for the International World and Prosperity (Tripp), US officials told the agency.
The route itself, according to the plan, will run in accordance with the Armenian law, and the United States will be submitted to the land at the consortium for the construction of infrastructure and management.
In addition, as Reuters found out, Armenia and Azerbaijan’s leaders would sign documents with a request for dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, which, from its creation moment in 1999, was led by France, Russia and the United States with the purpose of the intervention.
Trump is a peacemaker
Aliyev and Pashinan’s meeting with the White House was Trump’s attempt to make efforts aimed at stopping international conflicts to receive recognition for it.
Such a scenario for the development of the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan is extremely harmless for the Russian Federation, which loses control of the region. In the past, it was Russia’s peacemakers who should be responsible for observing Truce between countries.
“Russia is afraid that if Azerbaijan signed a peace agreement with Armenia, it would finally end the Karabakh war, it could no longer play Armenian-Azerbaijani’s conflict to expand its influence in the region,” said Voitekh Voitasevich, analyst in the southern caucasus of the international relationship.
According to him, the Kremlin aims to change Azerbaijan’s policy to a more pro -russian, and in relation to Armenia -to achieve the removal of the pashiene and the coming of the power of the pro -russian government.
