The plants operate at 50-60% capacity, but metallurgists have found an opportunity to provide maximum support to Ukraine and the Armed Forces, Ryzhenkov said.
The metallurgical industry of Ukraine is experiencing serious problems due to the war and is working at a partial load, but metallurgists continue to provide assistance to the country. Yury Ryzhenkov, CEO of Metinvest Group, spoke about this in an interview with Sky News.
“We have two metallurgical plants left in Ukraine: one in Zaporozhye, the other in Kamianske. They are both working now, their capacities are loaded by about 50-60%. However, we can produce armored plates, steel shelter, etc. ,” – he explained.
Ryzhenkov emphasized that all enterprises of the metallurgical industry are trying to do their best for the success of Ukraine and will remain a reliable support for the country.
“We are all in the same conditions. The metallurgical industry is as competitive as it can be. But when it comes to support, we and all our colleagues understand how important it is to support each other,” said Ryzhenkov .
He added that Russia will definitely answer for all its crimes and pay the full price for the businesses destroyed in Ukraine.
“We are confident that we should receive full compensation for the damage from the Russians. And reinvest it in Ukrainian factories to continue their work,” concluded Ryzhenkov.
It was previously reported that Metinvest Group has paid UAH 18 billion in taxes since the beginning of the year. In addition, since the beginning of the war, Metinvest has sent UAH 2.1 billion to help Ukraine.
