No one doubts the United States’s ability to stop the war, the President of Ukraine said.
Ukraine almost around the clock maintains American side contacts to reach its position about the end of the war in Ukraine. President Vladimir Zelensky said in a video message tonight on Saturday, August 9.
“American side contacts continue almost around the clock – at different levels – and we don’t do all the public,” said the head of the state.
Zelensky emphasized that either Ukraine or European partners are skeptical of the United States’s ability to stop the war.
“The US president has levers, deciding. Ukraine has supported all of President Trump’s proposals since February,” the President said.
Zelensky recalled that the idea of an immediate stop was among the American leader.
“We don’t need a pause in the killings, but a real, long world. It’s not a stopping stop there, after months, but right away. President Trump said, and I really support it,” the President said.
The head of the state noted that Ukraine and all partners equally understand the need to stop.
“One topic is opposed to it – this is Putin. The only map in his hands is the opportunity to kill, and he is trying to sell the death of death as expensive. It is important not to deceive anyone,” Zelensky said.
Remember that US president Donald Trump said his meeting with Russian Federation leader Vladimir Putin was held on August 15 in Alaska. According to him, the possibility of exchange of territories is considered and the details of the agreement will be discussed in the coming days.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine would not give the Russian Federation land, but was ready for real decisions that could provide peace.
