Ukraine’s external financing since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation has reached $83.7 billion.
This month, the state budget of Ukraine received about $9 billion in exceptional external financing. These are funds from the European Union, Canada, Great Britain, Japan and the IMF, the Ministry of Finance announced on Friday, March 29.
Donors include:

European Union – $4.9 billion (concessional financing);

Canada – $1.5 billion (concessional financing);

Japan – $1.1 billion (concessional financing);

IMF – $880 million (concessional financing);

Great Britain – $515 million (concessional financing).
“International aid is aimed at financing priority social expenditures of the State Budget of Ukraine,” the statement said.
The department noted that since the beginning of 2024, Ukraine’s external financing has reached $10.1 billion, and since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation – $83.7 billion.
Earlier, the NBU said that Ukraine will receive $10 billion in international funding in March-April. So, most of the money has already been donated. Another tranche from the EU is expected in April.
