To pay for the lack of labor, Russia was called to attract Vietnam citizens to work in factories.
In Russia, there is a chronic labor shortage in the manufacturing industry. According to the Industry State Information System, cited by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov, about 1.9 million workers were not sufficient in Russian plants.
Of these 1.9 million, according to the minister, nearly 500-530 thousand specialists should have higher education. The rest – 1.4 million people are workers with secondary vocational education required for the implementation of national project goals in the field of technological leadership.
Against the background of reducing activity in the manufacturing industry over the last three years, wages in the sector have continued to grow. According to the results of 2024, the average salaries in the industry cost more than 88 thousand rubles, which is 17% more than last year.
According to Rosstat, the rate of unemployment in the country has reached a minimum of history – 2.3%. At the same time, the size of nominal salaries according to the results of 2024 reached 87,952 rubles, which was 18.3% more than last year, excluding official inflation.
Russian Federation head Vladimir Putin on April 11 mentioned a lack of labor in the country, but increased unemployment numbers by 3.5%, pointing out the lack of personnel in many directions. He suggested using the “potential of regional staff”, which still has a high level of unemployment, as well as increase the level of labor automation.
To compensate for the lack of workers, the head of the Ministry of Industry and goods called for the participation of Vietnam citizens to work in factories. In addition, to solve problems with staff, the government suggested to strengthen the standards for overtime. Under the new bill, the number of overtime hours will increase from 120 to 240 per year, and they will also be allowed to use overtime working hours for more than two days later.
Remember that Russia completed last year with a note in recent years by budget shortage, worth 3.5 trillion rubles.
