Drones attack Chechnya’s capital, Grozny. Earlier, two drones hit the buildings where the riot police base and a special forces regiment were stationed.
For the attack on the riot police base in Grozny on December 15, a long-range drone based on the Ukrainian-made Aeroprokt A-22 sports aircraft was likely used. Forbes reported this on Wednesday, December 15.
According to the publication, the attack on the riot police base in Grozny is another case of using Aeroprokt A-22s, which Ukrainian intelligence has “transformed into one-way attack drones” since the beginning of this year.
“Such a drone aircraft can fly up to 1,300 kilometers. It has an additional fuel tank, as well as remote guidance and explosive load systems. In the past, such an aircraft hit a drone factory in the Russian Federation, a missile research center and a Russian naval base on ships,” – indicates the publication.
“The footage shot by eyewitnesses in Grozny on December 15 revealed some new details about the homemade attack drone,” the publication said.
“The UAV had opaque flaps covering the normally clear glass around the A-22’s cockpit. The drone also had a registration number on the tail before. In footage from December 15, paint can be seen where the number should have been. This could mean that the intelligence agency is looking for used A-22s for its drone program, and is not directly procuring all the gliders from the Kyiv Aeroprokt plant,” Forbes wrote.
In the Russian city of Grozny, which is the capital of the Chechen Republic, a drone attack was recorded on Sunday morning.
We remind you that on December 12 a loud explosion was heard in Grozny. Then the construction of the second regime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of this region was attacked. There were wounded, but the exact number is unknown.
