Previously, the paramedic was already fined for “discrediting” the Russian army, and during the search, Ukrainian flags and symbols of the legion were found in his possession.
A court in Krasnogorsk, Russia, found 35-year-old ambulance paramedic Ivan Kolosov guilty of “preparing for participation in an illegal armed group.” The Russian Telegram channel Astra writes about this on Wednesday, October 2.
The man was sentenced to nine years in prison, of which he will spend four years in prison.
Previously, Kolosov was fined for “discrediting” the Russian army, and during a search, Ukrainian flags and legion symbols were found on him.
So, in December 2022, after the denunciation of a colleague, Kolosov was fined 30 thousand rubles under the article on “discrediting” the army for a comment about a “Russian warship.” A month later, the police detained Kolosov. While checking his phone, they discovered he was listed in a Legion chat room.
During the search, Ukrainian flags and stickers with Legion symbols, as well as a camouflage jacket and camping accessories were found in Russian.
He said he was not guilty.
We remind you that in Russia a man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for trying to poison the military.
Earlier, a court in the Russian Federation found a Russian citizen guilty of high treason who planned to join the ranks of the Freedom of Russia Legion (LSR). The court sentenced him to 10 years in prison in a maximum security colony.
