A 22-year-old contract soldier was detained in Kharkov. He left his unit without permission and, for the sake of easy money, agreed to smoke the vehicles of the Defense Forces on orders from the enemy’s special services.
In one night, the young man set fire to six military SUVs at once. Law enforcement officers detained him when he tried to escape from the scene of the crime.
The deserter was hiding in the regional center and was actively looking for “easy money” on Telegram channels. On one of these Internet resources, a representative of Russian intelligence contacted the contract soldier and offered him money in exchange for cooperation.

In addition, the SBU reported that in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, a 15-year-old local resident and his 18-year-old relative were detained, who set fire to three Ukrainian Armed Forces SUVs undergoing maintenance after completing combat missions on the front lines.
The guys rode bicycles around the area where they tracked Ukrainian troops’ vehicles. After detecting potential targets, the attackers photographed them and sent them to the customer for approval.
Then, following the instructions of the “curator,” the defendants prepared a flammable mixture, doused it in military vehicles, and set it on fire.
