The crossover for Europe has become almost a copy of the Renault scenic e-tech, but there are some design changes.
Mitsubishi continues to hold existence in Europe thanks to cooperation with Renault. The new Electric Eclipse Cross 2026 is actually a redesigned version of the Scenic E-Tech, which debuted two years ago. According to Motor1, this is the fourth model created based on Renault: Colt (CLIO), ASX (Captur) and Grandis (Symbioz) emerged.
However, the Japanese tried to distinguish their freshness from the original stunning. The hood, a radiator grille and bumper were changed, as well as 19 or 20 inch tires with a new design. Inserts of decorative metal appear behind the racks. However, the silhouette easily provides the French source.
The salon is closer to Renault: a familiar two-shot panel with a 12.3-inches digital dashboard and a vertical 12-inch touchscreen. Mitsubishi limited itself to new ends and seats. In expensive versions there will be a panoramic roof with an electricch film that changes glass transparency.
The crossover was built on the CMF-EV platform. The main version will receive a de -electrical motor with a capacity of 215 hp. and 300 n · m of torque. Acceleration of 100 km/h takes 8.4 seconds, the maximum speed is 170 km/h. The 87 kW · h battery provides a margin of up to 600 km in the WLTP cycle and supports fast charging with a capacity of 150 kW.
In 2026, an intermediate version with a smaller 60 kWh battery and a Marce of nearly 420 km was expected as well. The stunning in such an adjustment is 168 hp. and 280 n · m.
The manufacture of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross begins with this year’s fourth quarter at the Renault factory in Duh (France).
Now in Europe, Mitsubishi has only two own models – Space Star and Outlander. The company is not in a hurry to invest in the development of new electric cars, as its market sharing is only 0.4% in the first seven months of the year.
