“More than seven thousand citizens come back if, with Istanbul. We do not voice the numbers in Istanbul, but the process is generally continuing, and Ukraine uses all the tools where possible – international support. Sometimes we appreciate the Arab Emirates, remembering other mediators,” Yusov said.
He also answered the journalist’s question about why Mariupol defenders, especially Azov’s fighters, were slowly returning. The GUR representative said more than half of the Mariupol garrison has been restored.

The intelligence representative recalled that Russia created a “special mix of propaganda and hate environment” around individual units of armed forces, some names of battle units in Ukrainian and individual heroes. Then it is harder to restore people. And more publicity, more difficult, Andrei Yusov added.
