The head of the LPR militants organized the forced mobilization of residents of the temporarily occupied areas of the Luhansk region to the groups of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation. Law enforcement officers documented a new crime of the collaborator and informed him in absentia of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 (violations of the laws and customs of war committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This was reported on July 26 by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
It turned out that the perpetrator signed several orders on “introducing martial law” and “mobilization” in the occupied part of the Luhansk region since February 19, 2022. Thus, the invaders called up almost 80% of the workers of local enterprises to fight for the enemy army.
The Russians took men aged 18 and over into the combat zone. After a short preparation, the enemy threw the Ukrainians into “meat” assaults on the Ukrainian Armed Forces positions on the eastern front. It became known that more than 70% of those mobilized died on the front lines in the first months of the full-scale Russian invasion.
Let us recall that in early July 2024, the Gauleiter of the self-proclaimed LPR Leonid Pasechnik was sentenced in absentia to 12 years in prison for collaborationism and encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
