Since the beginning of martial law, the bodies of 28 men who tried to cross the border illegally have been found in the Tisa River in the Transcarpathian region. The representative of the State Border Service Andrey Demchenko spoke about this at the telethon.
“28 cases have been recorded in the Tisza River when the corpses of the dead borders were discovered, this is more than 35 cases”, he said.
Demchenko emphasized that the Tisza is a treacherous river. It has a fast current, has tree roots and places where the current can pull it.
“The lack of strength of the violators when crossing the river, treacherous places led to the fact that a person lost his life due to rash and senseless actions when trying to cross the border illegally,” said speaker
