Before the competition, many called for Israel to be banned from Eurovision due to the war in Gaza. The competition organizer, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), forced the lyrics of Golan’s song to be changed so that it complied with all the rules, and allowed her to participate in Eurovision.
The singer herself said that nothing will stop her and is proud to represent her country.
