There were no injuries among the organization’s employees, but five local residents who were near the office were injured.
Representatives of the organization emphasized that they condemned the attack on the office, which provided emergency medical humanitarian assistance to people in the Donetsk region, and called for the protection of their facilities, as well as civilians, humanitarian and healthcare workers.
The attack on our office is not an isolated incident. The destruction of civilian infrastructure has been a characteristic feature of this war for a long time, the Facebook page of Doctors Without Borders quotes its representative in Ukraine, Vincenzo Porpiglia.
On April 5, at about 3.00, Russian troops shelled Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. The weapons hit the private sector. As a result of the hit to residential buildings, four family members were injured: grandparents and their daughter and 14-year-old son. Another citizen was also injured from the explosions. In addition, several private households were damaged in the shelling area. The type of weapon that the enemy used to attack the city is determined.
