A dog named Bear lives in San Diego, California. In July, his owner Mehrad Hauman took the student to work in a car garage. However, the animal suddenly disappeared from there.
“I posted over a thousand advertisements. I also always have a sticker on the back windshield of my car. Whenever I’m looking for the dog, I bring its leash,” said Elizabeth, Mehrad’s wife.
Last week, Harper Woods police responded to a call about a stray dog, took the terrier and contacted an animal welfare group.
They quickly learned that the dog had been implanted with an identification chip that contained information about its owners.
The family was informed that their pet was found en route to Minnesota. Mehrad Howman flew out of state, then drove 10 hours to Michigan to meet Mishka.
Veterinarian Nancy Pillsbury examined three-year-old Mishka, gave him a rabies vaccination and allowed him to go home to California.
It was previously reported that Portuguese mastiff Bobi has been stripped of his status as the world’s oldest dog.
