The restoration of full power supply in Kharkov may take from one to two weeks in the absence of new massive shelling.

    .

Chairman of the Board of Ukrenergo Vladimir Kudrytsky stated this at a briefing on March 26.

Energy workers are gradually restoring the power supply to Kharkov. The entire critical infrastructure of the city was healed, and light appeared, albeit with certain restrictions, in the homes of citizens. It may be possible to soften the shutdown schedules over the weekend due to significant warming, says Kudritsky.

According to him, Ukrenergo now has a sufficient amount of equipment, repair teams, specialized equipment and materials. In this regard, the situation is significantly different from last year.

Assessing the damage caused to the power grid during missile and drone attacks continues. But we can certainly say that these are tens of millions of hryvnias for Ukrenergo substations and hundreds of millions of hryvnias for power plants.

To make it more convenient to move around the city during rush hours, the Kharkov metro has reduced train arrival intervals. Kharkov mayor Igor Terekhov announced this on air at the national telethon.

According to the mayor, the intervals are now 12-14 minutes.

In addition, to reduce the load on the energy system damaged by the enemy last Friday, the heating season in Kharkov ended on March 26.

Mayor Terekhov believes that the outside temperature is favorable for turning off the heating.

At the same time, utilities, together with energy workers, continue to eliminate the consequences of the attack in order to restore power supply to residential buildings. And although they have already partially managed to do this, the electricity shortage in Kharkov is still noticeable.
