The new military support package is specially designed in accordance with Ukraine’s needs, the Swedish Ministry of Defense said.
The Swedish authorities presented the 15th package of military aid to Ukraine, the value of which is the largest – 7.1 billion Swedish kronor (more than $680 million – ed.). This was reported by the television company SVT on Tuesday, February 20.
“At the end of the day, it’s about humanity and decency. It’s also about protecting the values and interests that are important to Sweden and Sweden’s interests,” Defense Minister Paul Johnson said at a press conference.

Also, 1 billion crowns will go to the purchase of military equipment through various funds, another 1 billion – to order a new Stridsfordon 90 armored vehicle for Ukraine.
Another 400 million Swedish crowns will be allocated to various educational initiatives for Ukrainians.
According to Paul Johnson, the new support package is specifically designed to meet Ukraine’s needs.
Together with previous support packages that Sweden has already sent to Ukraine, the country provided a total of over 30 billion Swedish kronor (about $2.9 billion – ed.).
Earlier it became known that Sweden will increase the supply of shells to Ukraine. The country’s authorities entered into an agreement with the Nammo company, which produces ammunition.
