The Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine promotes the extension of the agreement between Ukraine and the European Union on the transport of cargo by road – without a transport visa – for a year without change. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Department Sergei Derkach, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“Our plan is to extend the agreement without changes. For one year (the agreement is valid until June 30, 2024 – ed.), without any changes,” said the Deputy Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure.
According to him, the ministry sent a letter to the European Commission with a request to hold a working meeting at the end of the month on the extension of the transport visa-free travel agreement.
“There are countries that, we know for sure, agree to extend the agreement; they have no objection. There are countries where comments on the agreement have been received. Other countries have not and agreed to the statement that This agreement contributes to economic development in the EU.” , – said Derkach.
