Ukrainian hackers, with the support of the SBU, decided to take revenge for the recent cyber attack on Kyivstar and destroyed the IT infrastructure of the Russian company Rosvodokanal. RBC-Ukraine reported this on Wednesday, December 20, citing its own sources.
The powerful cyber operation was carried out by hackers from the BLACKJACK group. The media suggest that it was carried out with the support of SBU specialists.
“Revenge for Kyivstar has already begun,” the sources said.
During a cyber attack, hackers are able to:
-
gain access to a large number of documents,
-
encrypt more than 6000 computers,
-
delete more than 50 terabytes (TV) of data, including internal document flow, company email, cyber protection services, backup copies.
After such an attack, the work of Rosvodokanal was blocked.
Sources note that SBU experts are already analyzing 1.5 TVs of downloaded data from Rosvodokanal.
