According to the head of the general staff, Major General Nurmy itself, cooperation with the United States is an important element of Finland’s defense decision, especially in the conditions of an unstable international situation.

In the middle of July, the US Marine Corps unit arrived in Finland. Soldiers located in the Uusimaa Brigade and the Coastal Brigade will remain in Finland for about a month. The exercises occupy the soil, sea and wind forces. The military can also move outside the bases – in cities and near the training grounds. Major General Nurmi urged citizens not to worry and, if possible, smiling at the military in public places.
The Defense Cooperation Agreement between Finland and the USA (Defense Cooperation Agreement (DCA) allowed American troops to become and conduct exercises in Finland. Last year, the agreement was entered and now applied to the practice.
Earlier it was reported that Finland had suggested NATO put a new military base on its territory – Helsinki could be a basis for major NATO intelligence drones.
