Sales in World Chips increased by 7.8% in the second quarter

The global semiconductors market shows confident growth: sales in the second quarter of 2025 reached $ 179.7 billion.

The sale of chips in the second quarter of 2025 reached $ 179.7 billion, which was an increase of 7.8% compared to the first quarter. This was reported by the Association of the Semiconductor Industry (SIA).

According to Sia, in June 2025, global sales cost $ 59.9 billion – it’s 19.6% more than June last year, and 1.5% more than May of this year. The data is based on a three -month average indicator, which forms the World Organization of Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS).

According to SIA President John Neiffer, the main drivers of annual growth are the Asia-Pacific and American regional markets, and in the second half of the year it is expected further growth.

In the context of the region, compared to June 2024, the Asia-Pacific region and other countries regulated the greatest growth- +34.2%. The sale in America (+24.1%), China (+13.1%) and Europe (+5.3%) also increased. The single region with the rejection was Japan, which reduced sales by 2.9%.

Compared to May 2025, in June, growth was recorded by the Asia-Pacific region (+5.8%) and China (+0.8%). At the same time, a slight decrease was observed in the USA, Europe and Japan – by 0.2%, 0.7%and 1.7%, respectively.

The SIA Association represents 99% of the revenue of American chips manufacturers and nearly two-thirds of non-residents in the industry.
