The Israeli authorities resorted to such methods after the shooting in the north of the country. The length of the restricted zone reaches four kilometers. The press service of the Israel Defense Forces reported this on October 15.
The IDF asked civilians in the area up to two kilometers from the border to stay close to the security zones.
The Israeli military has also limited GPS operation in active combat zones to suit various operational needs. These restrictions may cause temporary problems with location-based applications.
Meanwhile, the Times of Israel reported that the Lebanese Hezbollah attacked the Israeli city of Shtula and announced the capture of an IDF base on the border between Israel and Lebanon. Five Israeli soldiers were injured. In response, strikes are carried out on enemy positions in Lebanon.
Let us remind you that the Israel Defense Forces postponed the start of the ground operation, which was planned to be carried out this weekend in the Gaza Strip. The IDF said cloud cover “would make it difficult for Israeli pilots and drone operators to provide air cover for ground forces.” Also, tanks, sappers, special forces, aviation and artillery were to be involved in the offensive.
