The Russians daily launch up to 20 guided bombs in Ukraine.
This was told by the speaker of the Air Force Yuri Ignat.
Every day, about 20 guided bombs fly into the frontline zones. They were made recently and not always of high quality, the bombs fly about 70 km and, unfortunately, fall into civilian infrastructure, said a spokesman for the Air Force Command.
In addition, Ignat said that it is harder for Ukrainian air defense to shoot down Russian missiles at night than during the day.
On the air of the Freedom TV channel, he said that daytime allows air defense to more accurately fix targets due to visual reference to them. However, for radar-equipped systems, the target may be more difficult to spot if it descends to low altitude using riverbeds or terrain.
This complicates the task of air defense and can lead to the fact that the target will disappear from the radar.
Night time plays a minor role for large air defense systems, but can be critical for MANPADS operators, anti-aircraft installations and mobile fireteams who need to have a clearer idea of the target, said the River Air Force.
