Russia transfers most of its energy resources to the markets of “friendly countries,” Alexander Novak explained.
By the end of 2022, Russia has significantly increased oil exports to India, and has also increased supplies to China. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak at the last meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, Interfax reports on Tuesday, March 28.
“Most of our energy resources have been redirected to other markets, to the markets of friendly countries. Let me remind you that, if we bring oil supplies to India, they increased 22 times last year. Supplies have increased in China and other markets. This is also the result of that big work done in the industry,” Novak said, without giving specific figures for deliveries.
Media earlier reported that India has become a leading consumer of Russian Urals oil. So, in January, almost 70% of these oil shipments were sent to India.
It was also found that Russia was selling its oil at a huge discount. Within three months they exceeded $30 per barrel.
