China has broken its own record for a single satellite launch by launching more than 40 satellites simultaneously into orbit.
On Thursday, June 15, China successfully launched 41 small satellites, including Jilin-1, into orbit, breaking the national record for launching multiple spacecraft into orbit simultaneously. This was reported by the China Corporation for Aerospace Science and Technology.
The launch was made using a CZ-2D rocket from the Taiyuan launch site in the north of the country. It became 476 for the carriers of this series.
Jilin-1 is an optical remote sensing satellite designed for commercial use. In the meantime, by 2025, there will be 138 such spacecraft in orbit, forming a single network.

The CZ-2D is a two-stage liquid-fuel rocket with a diameter of 3.35 meters. It reaches more than 40 meters in length and is capable of transporting up to 1.3 tons of cargo into sun-synchronous orbit (700 km).
In 2022, China made 64 launches, again breaking its own record. According to this indicator for this period, it was ranked second after the United States.
To recall, on June 7, China launched the Lijian-1 Y2 solid-propellant launch vehicle into space, which put 26 experimental satellites into orbit.
