The vehicle spoke on social media after paying tribute to the singer and inserting an image of the “naked” artist; understand the case!
A recent controversy involving international Billboard’s Instagram prompted a public apology from the renowned singerTaylor Swift. The incident occurred when the magazine, while honoring Swift as the second biggest pop star of the 21st century, released a video that mistakenly included an image of the artist supposedly nude.
The image in question is not an authentic photograph. This is a reference to the controversial music video “Famous”, by the rapper Kanye West, released in 2016. This clip features nude depictions of several celebrities, including Taylor Swift, with whom West has a history of disagreements in the music industry.
Faced with the mistake, Billboard promptly removed the video from its platforms and issued a statement expressing its regret. “We deeply regret the Taylor Swift and to all our readers and viewers who, in a video that celebrated the achievements of Swift, we included a clip that falsely portrayed her. We have removed the clip from our video and sincerely regret the harm we have caused by this error.”
Kanye’s scandal
The “Famous” music video was initially presented at an event in Inglewood, California.
As reported by People Magazine at the time of its release, Kanye West sought inspiration in the work “Sleep”, by the contemporary artist Vincent Desiderio. This painting illustrates naked men and women lying side by side on a wide bed.
In adapting West, the painting came to life with well-known figures such as Kim Kardashian (then the rapper’s wife), Taylor Swift, Rihanna, George W. Bush, Anna Wintour, Donald Trump, Chris Brown, Ray J, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner and Bill Cosby.
