A law enforcement officer shot the pedestrians near the village of Braniv and refused to go through an alcohol test.
GBR officials reported the suspicion of law enforcement officer from Rivne, who has committed a traffic accident. This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigations press service on Tuesday, August 12.
The incident occurred on August 8 at about 5:30 pm near the village of Braniv, Rivnensky District. The law enforcement officer was driving his own car, conducting a maneuver and riding on the side of the road, where he shot two pedestrians. The 47-year-old man died in the area, and his 34-year-old companion received injury, but there was no threat to his life.
The driver was not injured. Doctors, in the presence of witnesses, recorded the reality of refusing to conduct an alcohol inspection. During the investigation, a number of tests were assigned, which should establish all the conditions of the accident and confirm or deny the reality of alcohol intoxication.
The offender was jailed, he was told of suspicion. The court chooses a measure of restraint – the restraint without the right to make a promise.
The suspect faces eight years in prison with the right to drive vehicles for up to three years or not.
