The National Conference on the Rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transvestite, Transsexual, Queer, Intersex, Asexual and Other People (LGBTQIA+) will be resumed by the government in 2025.
Between May 14th and 18th, 2025, in Brasília (DF), the event will have its fourth edition in its history in Brazil.
The official call for the conference was published in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU) in a decree signed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
For the next edition, the theme chosen was “Building the National Policy for the Rights of LGBTQIA+ People”. In it, proposals will be discussed to deal with issues about combating discrimination against LGBTQIA+ people and promoting their human rights and citizenship
The National LGBTQIA+ Conference will be coordinated by the Board of Directors of the National Council for the Rights of LGBTQIA+ People and will be chaired by the Minister of Human Rights and Citizenship.
