5 more rodents from Disney

Without a doubt, one of the most iconic and memorable characters created by walt disney is the rodent Mickey Mouse, who, along with his companion Minnie, face high adventures in the production company’s animations.

But Mickey and Minnie aren’t the only rodents at Disney. Within the production company, there are a few more characters that fit these mammals. Knowing this, RECREIO went beyond the Mouse couple and decided to look for 5 rodents from disney. Check it out below:

1. Basil, from ‘The Adventures of a Little Mouse Detective’

The little mouse Olivia Flaversham has her father kidnapped at the beginning of the film, and she seeks help from Basil. Along with Dr. David Q. Dawson, the titular detective acts to try to trace the crime back to the diabolical Professor Ratigan.

Despite being brilliant, Basil is always very focused on his work, which often lacks interpersonal skills.

2. Chispi, from ‘Enchanto’

Chispi is a minor character in the film and lives in Antonio Madrigal’s room. Capybaras, the character’s species, are rodents native to South America, where the film takes place.

At the end of the film Chispi is caught taking a bubble bath and eats his own credits.

3. Timothy Q. Mouse, from ‘Dumbo’

Timothy, very unlike the other characters in Disney’s ‘Dumbo’, is an open-minded defender of the downtrodden, and yet has no tolerance for cruelty. Timothy’s kind and selfless traits make him one of the brand’s most beloved characters.

4. The Mice, from ‘Cinderella’

Cinderella has a very nice relationship with the mice that live with her, because they help the princess in the endless tasks that they assign her. Although she has more than one mouse in the film, it is Jaq and Gus who help and are most prominent during production.

5. Bernard & Miss Bianca from ‘The Rescuers’

Bernard & Miss Bianca face multiple adventures in 1977’s ‘The Rescuers’, and yet they share a rodent romance that is rare to see in animation.
