The Metinvest group of businessman Rinat Akhmetov in the first quarter of 2024 increased the payment of taxes and fees to budgets of all levels in Ukraine by 70% compared to the same period last year – up to 4.2 billion hryvnias. This was stated in a company report published on Monday, April 22.

It is indicated that among the largest reductions in terms of volume is the fee for the use of subsoil, which increased 7.5 times compared to the first quarter of 2023 – up to 1.3 billion Hryvnia.
The group also increased the payment of personal income tax by 22% – to UAH 791 million.
In addition, Metinvest transferred 870 million hryvnias of a single social contribution to the budget, which is 20% higher than the figures for the first quarter of 2023.
The general director of the company, Yuriy Ryzhenkov, said that the positive dynamics of reductions was achieved despite the war and many factors unfavorable for business.
“As the largest taxpayer in the industry, we realize that the economy of the front-line regions and the whole country depends on our stable work, as well as the ability to support the army and Ukrainians. And we will do everything to continue to overcome all the trials during the war on the path of victory, “- he said.
We remind you that in 2023, Metinvest paid UAH 14.6 billion in taxes. Then the largest in terms of deductions is the single social contribution, which reached 3.3 billion hryvnia.
Metinvest also told how they survived the war, although at the beginning of the Russian invasion the vertically integrated structure of the group was disrupted.
