The total export volume of grain and other products under the initiative is 29,798,277 tons. (…) In March, 3,933,607 tons were exported, in April – 2,785,455 tons (29% less than in March), from May 1 to May 9 – 581,218 tons,” said the SCC.

“Currently, 14 ships with about 600,000 tons of grain and other agricultural products are in Ukrainian ports (…), 26 ships with 1,157,974 tons of grain and food are in Turkish waters , (…) 62 dry cargo ships are waiting. to leave for Ukrainian ports,” the center stressed.
During the “grain agreement” operation, dry cargo ships chartered by the UN World Food Program (WFP) delivered more than 595,000 tons of grain intended for humanitarian aid in Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Yemen , the report said.
Recall, on March 18, Ukraine reached an agreement with Turkey and the UN to extend the grain agreement for another 120 days. At the same time, Russia said that the contract was only extended by 60 days.
In April, Moscow published five demands for a Black Sea treaty and threatened not to renew it after May 18.
SKC noted that the further functioning of the grain initiative will be known based on the results of bilateral and multilateral meetings of Ukraine with the UN, the Russian Federation and Turkey, which will be held on May 10-11 in Istanbul.
