From May 1, cranes should start selling only two types of gasoline and gas stations, so this is the last month to adapt to this measure by the Ministry of Energy and Mining (Minem).
For now Association of Interceptors and Service Stations of Peru (Agesp) guarantees that more than 90% of taps in Lima and Callao are ready to sell premium and regular gasoline.
The union indicates that 9 out of 10 establishments have already completed the work on adapting their boards, and they will be able to continue the schedule set by Minem without any problems.
“We only had to do a few documentation, as the competent authorities have given us the necessary instructions. We are ready and ready to start this new operation,” Edwin Pinedo, president of Agesp, told La República newspaper.
Regarding the situation in other regions, the union indicates that the sufficiency of branch lines also exceeds 90% in most cities.
As stated, basically the change that needs to be done is changing the boards and redistributing the location tanks and sensors.
As a reminder, this measure, set by Minem, has already started to apply to wholesale distributors of gasoline, as they only had a period of 60 days, counting from January, to adapt.
When mixersthey were given a deadline of 120 days, which ends in the next few weeks.
But, in the case of gasoline with an octane rating of 84, its commercialization will be allowed until December 31 this year at the national level. Only in Loreto, Amazonas, San Martin and Madre de Dios will this gasoline be available until June 30, 2024.
