“I understand that Russians are fleeing what Putin’s desperate decisions have caused. But those fleeing the country because they don’t want to fulfill the duty imposed by their own state do not qualify for a humanitarian visa,” he said.
The Minister stressed that the Czech Republic will not issue humanitarian visas to Russian citizens who are trying to leave their country to avoid being subject to mobilization.
And according to Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, the Czech Republic will treat such Russians as ordinary asylum seekers.
If someone comes, their application will be considered as part of the standard asylum procedure,” he said.
Earlier, the European Commission said that the decision on the entry of Russian citizens into their territory was made by the member states themselves. Today the EU is discussing how to deal with the mass mobilization announcement.
Recall that Finland is preparing to introduce a complete ban on entry into the country for Russian citizens.
It was also learned that Kazakhstan will not issue residence permits to Russians fleeing the mobilization. To do this, you must first give permission from the authorities of the Russian Federation.
