The works of Kazimir Malevich and Ilya Repin were recognized as the national cultural heritage of Ukraine.
At a meeting on December 30, the expert-fund commission of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine included 11 unique museum items from four museums into the State Register of National Cultural Heritage. Among them are works by Ukrainian artists Kazimir Malevich and Ilya Repin.
Another important artifact that was included in the state register is the Aprakos Gospel 1707 from the collection of the Kharkov Historical Museum named after Sumtsov. This is a unique printing masterpiece, an original copy of a rare illustrated Ukrainian Cyrillic early printed book of large format and one of the most outstanding projects in the history of Ukrainian book publishing before the 19th century.
