An unknown person parked a scooter at the entrance of the house, the handle of which appeared to have explosives attached.
An explosion occurred on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow on Tuesday morning, December 17. The Russian pro-government Telegram channels Shot and Mash reported two deaths.
Eyewitnesses said the explosion occurred at 6:11 am. According to preliminary information, a few hours before the incident, an unknown person parked a scooter at the entrance of the house, which seemed to have a homemade explosive device attached to the handle.
As a result of the explosion, two Russians were killed: the head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection forces of the Russian armed forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov and his assistant.
Telegram channels wrote that as a result of the explosion in the house itself, the entrance door was torn, windows were broken and the general’s official car was damaged.
The detonation itself can be carried out remotely. Most likely, the bomber or his accomplice could not be in the line of sight, but could gain access to the entrance camera used by many residents of the residential complex.
The second person killed in the explosion in Moscow was the driver of the lieutenant general. He said he came to pick up his boss around six in the morning to take him to work.
Currently, the area around the house on Ryazansky Prospekt is being investigated by sappers. The scooter, to which the explosives were attached, will be taken for examination.
We remind you that Mikhail Shatsky, deputy general designer and head of the software department of the Moscow Experimental Design Bureau Mars, was killed in the Moscow region as a result of a special operation of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU.
