Ukrainian law enforcement officials have published thousands of criminal cases related to the Holodomor.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Holodomor Museum, digitized 1 thousand 22 archival criminal cases of cannibalism and more than 1 thousand cases of cannibalism during the Holodomor of 1932-1933. On a special map you can trace the geography of cases of cannibalism that Soviet punitive authorities recorded during the Holodomor of 1932-1933. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Using electronic map tools, it can be seen that the spread of cannibalism clearly coincides with the geography of the regions most affected by the Holodomor, previously identified by Ukrainian scientists, the ministry’s press service noted.
Also on the electronic map was information about documents that the Soviet authorities destroyed in 1956.
Law enforcement officers emphasized that the declassified data proves that the famine was a deliberate tool to pacify the Ukrainian people.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs added that the translation of paper documents from the department’s archives into electronic format is still ongoing. You can view the map using this link.
Let us remind you that the Center for National Resistance reported that on the eve of the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holodomor, the Russians began repressions in the occupied territories. The invaders called on anyone who would light candles of remembrance on November 23 or show other signs of grief to report them.
