The nephew of the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, Adam Cherkhigov, was appointed Minister of Transport, Communications and Digital Development of the region. Kadyrov announced this on Telegram on Wednesday, June 5.
Since 2007, this post has been held by Adam Cherkhigov’s father, Ramzan Cherkhigov. Adam himself, before his appointment to the new position, was the head of the Chechen Government Committee on Preschool Education.
“Despite his young age, he (Adam, – edit) has extensive experience in leadership positions and the necessary professional skills to efficiently and effectively carry out the tasks facing the ministry,” said Kadyrov.
Adam Chergigov is the son of Kadyrov’s brother Zargan. Relatives of the Chechen leader, including his sisters, cousins, uncles, sisters’ husbands and daughters, occupy various leadership positions in the republic. Some of them were appointed to positions at the federal level.
Let’s remember that in May, 18-year-old Akhmat Kadyrov was appointed head of the Ministry of Sports of Chechnya. Previously, he served as head of the regional Youth Ministry. Before this, in November 2023, for his birthday, he received the post of the First Deputy Minister for Physical Culture and Sports of Chechnya. After his transfer to a new job, 20-year-old Ramzan Vismuradov, married to Kadyrov’s fourth daughter, was appointed to his position.
In February, the second daughter of Ramzan Kadyrov, 24-year-old Khadizhat, was appointed the first deputy head of the administration of the leader and government of Chechnya.
Last year, Kadyrov’s nephew Yakub Zakriev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of Chechnya, took the position of CEO of a dairy products company. Danone Russia.
