Two policemen from the Ivano-Frankivsk region died during a massive Kramatorsk seizure in the Donetsk region on the night of August 22. It was reported by police of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
“On August 22, 2025, police officers of the major national police director in the Ivano -Frankivsk region died in the city of Kramatorsk as a result of an enemy plane,” the report said.
According to police, the dead were 38-year-old Lieutenant Kolonel Alexander Solovyanchik and 38-year-old captain Igor Martynyuk. Both served as senior inspectors in the battalion of special strength.
The exact conditions of the death of police officers are unknown. Both died during one of the city’s airstrikes. The Russians fired in Kramatorsk on the night of August 22 more than 40 times at night.
“The police have served a special purpose of battalion (rifle) for more than a year. They are real officials, distinguished by a great power of spirit and perseverance. They are focused on their work, honest oath and real children of their country,” the message said.
Note that on Friday afternoon, Russian troops also hit the private sector of Kramatorsk. As a result of the attack, three people were injured.
