Deputy Prime Minister for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk said that the Cabinet of Ministers is preparing a resolution that will allow 17-year-old Ukrainians abroad to receive a deferment for registration with the TCC until they return to Ukraine or the end of the state of war.

Vereshchuk added that legally the Ministry of Defense is right when they say that 17-year-olds should come to Ukraine and register for military service, but this will overload the VLK and will not help with mobilization.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that Ukrainians abroad who are over 17 years old should return to Ukraine and register for military service with the TCC.
When asked whether young men can register for military service remotely, in particular through the “Reserve+” mobile application, press officer of the Ministry of Defense Dmitry Lazutkin replied that this is impossible to do in the application and they need to appear independently at the TCC and SP.
Previously, the Ukrainian Ground Forces explained that 17-year-olds who have not registered for military service will be sent summonses. They also emphasized that we are talking about military registration, which has nothing to do with mobilization.
