Every man 18-60 years old must have a military ID – draft law on mobilization

    The mobilization bill, approved by the Rada committee on April 9, states that military ID will be able to be checked at the border, when leaving and entering the country.

    .

    This applies to all men, from 18 to 60 years of age, regardless of their fitness for service or deferments.

    The committee’s conclusions, published by people’s deputies, say that every man of the specified age will be required to carry a military ID. And present it at the request of police officers, TCC employees, as well as border guards both at checkpoints and in the border strip.

    Another important aspect of the need to carry a military ID for all men aged 18 to 60 years: consular services abroad will be carried out only if they have military registration documents.

    At the same time, the mobilization bill approved today by the National Security Council Committee directly states that 18-year-old Ukrainians, in particular, will require a military ID at the consulates.

    That is, those young men who left Ukraine before this age will need to return home and register with the TCC in order to be able to process Ukrainian documents abroad.

    Registration of an electronic account of a person liable for military service remains voluntary. The Verkhovna Rada proposed to allow men abroad to remotely update their data in the TCC,” said Fyodor Venislavsky, people’s deputy and member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine.

    According to the MP, Ukrainians abroad will be able to update their data in several ways:

    • by email;
    • by telephone call;
    • through an electronic account.

    In the mobilization bill, people’s deputies are allowed to reserve two of their assistants from the army.
