In Transcarpathia, law enforcement officials have confined a 28-year-old local resident suspected by the Arson of the Greek Catholic Church and motivates national hatred. On Friday, July 18, the National Police of Transcarpathia reported.
“Employees of the Police Department No. 1 of the UZHGorod District Police Department have found and detained the 28-year-old Transcarpathian, involved in the Arson Catholic Church’s Arson Commission in the village of Papa-Komarovtsy of the UZHGOROD district,” the report said.
It is noted that the detainee also left an inscription of a provocative nature in front of the church, aimed at preventing the region’s situation and encouraging national and religious hatred.
Currently, law enforcement officials are establishing motives for committing a crime. The pre -trial investigation continues.
Earlier, Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orban announced the church arson in Transcarpathia and the inscriptions “Magyarov to Knives.” According to him, the Hungarians in Transcarpathia experience “forced calls, murder, arson of churches, motivation, intimidation.”
