Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy Elena Moshenets spoke about this on April 7.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky signed a law on the electronic register of military personnel. It will collect data on male citizens aged 17 to 60 years from the six largest state registers – tax, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Central Election Commission, migration service.
The Ministry of Defense will receive data on citizens aged 17 to 60 years old, contained in various state registers.
The Ministry of Defense calls bill No. 10062 “critical for Ukraine’s defense capability” because “the implementation of its provisions will facilitate the rapid collection, processing and use of military data, and will finally transfer services and processes for military personnel into a convenient digital format.”
The document legitimizes the creation of an electronic military account, which will allow men to update their own data without visiting the TCC.
In 2023, the Ministry of Defense reported that the unified register of military personnel and conscripts “Oberig” was connected to the two largest state databases. The State Border Service also uses Oberig to combat the illegal departure of military personnel abroad.
